My Generation Is Back!

Curated by students from secondary schools across the region and from ESMAD, this Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival programme returns in 2026 with a new selection of films, an exhibition, and a series of workshops across the city of Vila do Conde.

Over the past few months, participants have been involved in every stage of the curatorial process — from selecting the films to writing programme texts, synopses, and communication materials — creating a programme that reflects their perspective on cinema and the contemporary world.

Alongside the traditional short film competition, where the AutoBemguiados Audience Award will be presented, the programme also features a poster exhibition and a series of workshops organised by Pulsar Studios and led by filmmaker Gabriela Giffoni.

A programme created by young people, for young people—and for everyone who believes in cinema as a space for discovery, participation, and creative expression. The full programme will be available soon on the festival’s official website.
